Description
Allegheny County is soliciting electronic bids for a broad range of adult and juvenile inmate apparel and related products, including shirts, pants, jumpsuits, underwear, bras, pajamas, sweatshirts, sweatpants, socks, tennis shoes, PVC shower sandals, rain suits, work coats, watch caps, and terry cloths. The specifications include defined fabrics, colors, construction, sizing, durability, and safety requirements; a sample of the proposed women's panties must be submitted with the bid. The solicitation also includes a flat-fee stenciling line item. The contract period is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2030, with two one-year renewal options. Bidders may submit pricing by line item and are not required to bid every item. The solicitation requires sustainability information, veteran-owned-business participation documentation, MWDBE good-faith-effort documentation, and electronic submission of the required bid materials. Insurance requirements include automobile liability, commercial general liability, professional liability, pollution liability, workers' compensation and employers' liability, and umbrella liability coverage.
