Description
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, is soliciting on-demand enhanced driving and ancillary services for employees with visual or other disabilities traveling on Commonwealth business. Services include ambulatory transportation, non-ambulatory or wheelchair transportation using vehicles equipped with ramps or lifts and tie-downs, waiting at destinations, passenger assistance, sighted-guide support, reading, scribe work, safety surveys, document-signature assistance, and related support tasks. The contract is reserved for DGS-certified small businesses and requires a Small Business Certificate with the bid. Contractors must provide qualified drivers, compliant vehicles, required licenses and registrations, insurance, background checks, driving histories, roadside assistance, cellular contact information, GPS capability, confidentiality forms, and other certifications. Bids must include the completed price rate sheet and required forms and supporting documentation. The stated urban rates are $45.00 per hour for ambulatory transport and $57.50 per hour for non-ambulatory transport. The initial contract term is three years, with up to two additional one-year renewals.
