CORNELL UNIVERSITY NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids for SUCF Project No. 191026_- REPLACE ROOF VETERINARY MEDICAL CENTER - PHASE 2 will be received by Cornell University at 121 Humphreys Service Building, 639 Dryden Road, Ithaca, New York 14853, until 2:00PM on October 22, 2026, then opened publicly in Room 133 Humphreys Service Building and via Zoom at: https://cornell.zoom.us/j/97282931170?pwd=LzbNq1j5toIjVb3IbhO30wraiLSvdR.1&from=addon Bids must be accompanied by a bid security (bid bond or certified check) in the amount of 10% of total bid. Scope of Work: Replace five (5) roof systems at the Veterinary Medical Center in their entirety, down to the roof deck, including all gravel ballast, metal flashing, roof gravel stops and wall flashings. Description
Cornell University is soliciting sealed bids for Phase 2 of a construction project to completely replace five roof systems at its Veterinary Medical Center, down to the roof deck. The scope includes removal and replacement of gravel ballast, metal flashing, roof gravel stops, and wall flashings. Work must begin upon the Owner’s written authorization to proceed and be completed within 270 calendar days from the contract approval date. Bidders must submit a sealed proposal using the provided forms, including the required addenda acknowledgment, corporate bidder certificate, proposed subcontractor list, schedule of values, alternate proposals and unit prices, milestone schedule, and 10% bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check. The successful bidder must provide 100% performance and labor-and-material payment bonds. The solicitation also identifies subcontracting participation goals of 6% for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses, 7.88% for Minority-Owned Businesses, and 5.97% for Women-Owned Businesses.
