The Town of Onondaga is soliciting proposals from a qualified consultant, agency, business, or organization to develop a Local Waterfront Revitalization Program for the Onondaga Creek waterfront and surrounding Nedrow community. The scope includes delineating the waterfront revitalization area; inventorying and analyzing land, water, natural, cultural, and vulnerable resources; preparing maps and GIS data; developing waterfront policies, proposed land and water uses, projects, conceptual designs, implementation strategies, local-law recommendations, state-action information, appendices, and a final LWRP suitable for local adoption and New York State approval. The contractor will also lead public engagement, Waterfront Advisory Committee meetings, public information meetings, SEQRA-related documentation, draft and final LWRP preparation, project reporting, and MWBE utilization reporting. The proposed budget may not exceed $125,000, including a required $37,500 allocation for services from New York State-certified MWBE firms. Proposals will be evaluated on technical approach, public consultation, relevant experience, qualifications, schedule, budget, and MWBE utilization. The contract term ends July 13, 2030.
