Description
The City of Southfield is soliciting bids to remove and replace a 10-foot-high by 12-foot-wide overhead door at the Department of Public Works Garage. The selected contractor must furnish and install a high-speed rapid-roll overhead door system, including incidental hardware, related components, manual power-outage override, emergency safety devices, and an in-ground sensor loop connected to the existing electrical supply. The scope includes correct field measurements, removal and disposal of the existing door, track, siding, trim, and related parts; installation and testing of a complete, safe, operable system; coordination with Public Works operations; site cleanup; and removal of project debris. Pricing must include labor and materials and identify the proposed brand and model, reused equipment, detailed services, completion schedule, and available warranties. Bidders must demonstrate at least three consecutive years of relevant experience and provide references for at least three similar projects completed within the last five years.
