Description
The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities is soliciting bids for a qualified psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner to provide psychiatric care and consultative services for individuals with developmental disabilities. The work includes up to 10 hours of weekly services, primarily on site during normal business hours, with telehealth available when approved. Duties include psychiatric evaluations and assessments, treatment recommendations, progress notes, medication management and prescriptions, crisis intervention, treatment-plan and case-management participation, inpatient psychiatric admissions support, staff training, and timely documentation in the agency's electronic health record system. Bidders must provide qualified, New York State-licensed treatment providers with at least one year of experience serving people with developmental disabilities and experience providing adult and child psychiatric services. The bid must include a cost proposal based on an hourly rate, provider resume, references, professional license, picture identification, board-certification or board-eligibility evidence, and applicable insurance documentation. The contract will be awarded to the responsible and responsive bidder offering the lowest estimated annual cost; subcontracting requires prior written approval.
