Description
Ellisville State School at the South Mississippi Regional Center, under the Mississippi Department of Mental Health, is soliciting a contractor to provide in-person psychiatry services for persons served at community homes. The scope includes assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing psychiatric conditions; reviewing and approving screenings; providing psychiatric care; reviewing individuals on psychotropic medication at least bi-monthly; completing admission assessments within 72 hours; documenting clinical progress; and signing verbal and telephone orders within 72 hours. The contractor must provide availability 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with services limited to no more than 16 hours per month. Personnel must hold required psychiatry licensure, undergo state-required background checks before contact with persons served and every two years thereafter, attend mandatory orientation, and comply with applicable agency, safety, confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements. The contract is expected to run from January 1, 2027, through June 30, 2027, with up to four successive one-year renewals.
