Description
Correctional Service Canada requires a licensed psychiatrist to provide psychiatric care to offenders with serious mental illness at Grand Valley Institution. The scope includes assessment and treatment, care planning and discharge summaries, consultation with health care providers and institutional management, educational sessions, participation in meetings and quality-improvement activities, psychiatric assessment reports, grievance and investigation support, and telepsychiatry by videoconference. The proposed psychiatrist must hold an independent, unrestricted provincial psychiatry license in good standing, provide professional-conduct and specialty-certification documentation, meet continuing-competence requirements, and demonstrate relevant experience and references. The contract includes federal security requirements, including a Designated Organization Screening for the contractor and Reliability Status for personnel requiring access to Protected information or regulated sites. The estimated base-period value is CAD $1,119,456, based on 2,184 clinical hours and 24 quality-improvement or related hours; the stated hourly rate is CAD $507. The contract also includes a discretionary 60-day transition extension.
