Description
The Arizona Department of Health Services, through the Arizona State Public Health Laboratory, is seeking a complete reagent-rental solution for second-tier DNA testing and presymptomatic detection of cystic fibrosis in newborn screening. The solution must include an FDA-cleared or FDA-approved DNA-based CF assay system capable of detecting at least 60 CFTR variants, including the 23 ACMG/ACOG-recommended variants, with a batch runtime of no more than eight hours for at least 96 specimens. The contractor must provide a Luminex 200 system with xPONENT 3.1 software or an equivalent single-platform system; xTAG Cystic Fibrosis CFTR 60 kit v2 or equivalent reagents; xMAP sheath fluid; required consumables and assay-specific materials; equipment maintenance, repairs, replacement components, loaner equipment, calibration, warranty coverage, and technical support; training and validation assistance; manuals, software guides, and safety data sheets; and delivery of reagents and consumables. The resulting contract has a one-year term with successive 12-month extensions, up to a maximum aggregate term of five years. A valid certificate of insurance is required within five days after contract award, rather than with the bid submission.
