Description
The City of Prescott is seeking qualified, licensed firms to provide as-needed third-party locating services for underground water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure. Work includes accessing and managing locating tickets through the Arizona 811 system, locating infrastructure within designated work areas, accurately marking utilities in the field using required paint colors and marking standards, documenting completed tickets in the system, and coordinating with City staff and contractors. Vendors must provide at least three workers at contract start, have the ability to adjust staffing based on workload, and identify the equipment and locating technologies proposed, such as magnetometers, ground-penetrating radar, and electromagnetic locating equipment. Utility locators must have certification or training meeting Common Ground Alliance or similar standards, and qualified personnel must comply with the listed technical, safety, testing, and training requirements. Pricing is requested on a per-worker, per-day basis, plus any additional fees. The solicitation also requires applicable Arizona licensing and specified commercial general liability, professional liability, automobile liability, and workers’ compensation coverage.
