Description
The U.S. Forest Service requires a contractor to abandon wells across the Prescott National Forest in accordance with the Arizona Department of Water Resources Well Abandonment Handbook and to close septic tanks in accordance with applicable Arizona regulations. The contractor must provide all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, vehicles, tools, transportation, lodging, and incidental items. The base bid includes decommissioning identified dug and drilled wells, well shafts, and a cistern; optional line items include additional wells, well abandonment if located, removal of associated equipment, and closure or pumping of septic tanks. The work includes concrete and casing removal, well collapse or grouting, removal of pumps, drop pipes, tanks, plumbing, and related structures, site cleanup and restoration, and compliance with environmental and construction requirements. The contractor must submit a detailed work plan, key personnel information, a performance schedule, pricing for every base and optional line item, and past performance for three similar projects completed within the last three years. The contract is firm-fixed-price with a 120-calendar-day performance period after notice to proceed.
