Description

The City of Prescott is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for Phase 2 replacement of aged and undersized water facilities, including approximately 2,928 linear feet of new ductile iron water line, 10 fire hydrants, 40 water service connections, six 4-inch meters and vaults, valves, air-release valves, blow-offs, and related appurtenances. The work also includes abandonment or removal of existing water mains and hydrants, storm-drain improvements, excavation, trenching, backfill, testing, disinfection, traffic control, and restoration. Roadway improvements include removal and replacement of asphalt pavement, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, ramps, valley gutters, signs, landscaping, and related drainage features on Country Club Circle, Rim Rock Circle, Brush Street, Willow Street, Ash Street, and Elm Street. The contractor must be an appropriately licensed Arizona general engineering contractor, provide a 10 percent proposal guarantee, perform at least 40 percent of the work with its own forces, and maintain required commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation, and applicable professional liability insurance. The contract has an initial one-year term, with work to be completed within 210 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed.
