Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contractor to repair approximately 11,458 feet, or 2.17 miles, of four-strand barbed and smooth-wire fence in two segments and clean excess sediment from the Tex Canyon earthen stock tank. Fence work includes vegetation clearing, reconstruction to wildlife specifications, removal and recycling of unusable old fencing, transportation of government-furnished fencing materials, and related labor, equipment, supplies, and transportation. The contractor must also remove sediment with heavy equipment while maintaining or repairing the tank’s dam and spillway and preserving the tank’s original footprint. The acquisition is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS 238990, with an estimated value of $20,000 and a maximum project magnitude of $25,000. Award is expected to be made to one contractor using a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable evaluation. The contractor will have 90 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed to complete the site work, followed by deliverables within 20 calendar days after site work is complete. Performance and payment bonds are expressly not required because the estimated value does not exceed $35,000.
