Description
The City of Middletown is seeking qualified contractors to provide nuisance abatement services at vacant, city-owned, and private properties within the city. Services include tall-grass and weed cutting, brush and yard-waste removal, poison ivy/oak/sumac removal, trash and tree-limb removal, hazardous-material removal and disposal, sidewalk and alley trimming and cleanup, appliance and tire removal, transport of junk and debris, and additional assigned work. The contract is scheduled for January 1 through December 31, 2027, with two optional one-year extensions. Contractors will be paid using proposed company-hour, appliance, tire, and transport rates. Work orders require prompt response, completion within specified timeframes, before-and-after dated and time-stamped digital photographs, and electronic transmission of work orders, invoices, documents, and photographs. References for similar contracts completed within the past five years are required. The selected contractor must maintain workers' compensation, commercial general liability, and automobile liability insurance and comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
