Description
The City of Middletown seeks a contractor to monitor and maintain 12 municipal water wells and pumping systems. The scope includes quarterly well and pump monitoring, drawdown and performance testing, written reports, maintenance recommendations, well cleaning, pump removal and inspection, lineshaft straightening, spider replacement, stuffing-box rebuilding, bowl-bearing and wear-ring replacement, material blasting and coating, motor testing, and reinstallation of refurbished pumping units. Well cleaning will generally involve two wells per year using high-pressure injection, twin-disk surge, or a combination of appropriate methods. The initial contract period is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027, with two optional one-year renewals for 2028 and 2029 and additional optional extension years for 2030 through 2032. Bidders must submit pricing by well and year, similar-project references completed within the past five years, required affidavits and proposal forms, and a 10% bid bond. Prevailing-wage requirements apply, and the successful bidder must provide a 100% performance bond after award.
