Description
The City of Hamilton is requesting statements of qualifications from consultant engineering firms for the BUT–RiversEdge–SUP Connection project (PID 125487). The selected consultant will prepare construction contract plans and provide related engineering and environmental services for an approximately 2,500-foot shared-use path along the Great Miami River levee. The project includes an approximately 11-foot-wide asphalt path, a constrained 7-foot section, retaining walls, right-of-way plan support, utility and drainage coordination, and inspection and rehabilitation of an existing cantilevered reinforced-concrete slab. The scope specifically includes NEPA/environmental document preparation for the implementation grant, potentially including categorical-exclusion documentation, cultural and ecological resources coordination, Section 4(f), waterway permits, regulated-materials review, and public involvement activities. Firms must meet applicable Ohio Department of Transportation prequalification requirements, and the letter of interest must address firm and staff qualifications, prequalification categories, workload and availability, project approach, relevant standards, and experience with cantilevered slab analysis, design, and rehabilitation. The letter of interest is limited to 10 single-sided pages plus two pages for the project approach; five copies are required, and the statement of qualifications must be notarized.
