Description
The Butler County Engineer's Office is seeking professional engineering services for two projects: replacement of the Hankins Road Bridge (SFN 0963473) over the Norfolk Southern Railroad and widening Princeton Road from two lanes to three lanes, including extending the existing sidewalk. The bridge project requires railroad coordination and a design team covering bridge design, roadway design, geotechnical engineering, environmental services, and surveying. Firms should describe prior railroad experience, including work directly with Norfolk Southern Railway. The Princeton Road project is approximately 0.7 miles long and requires an ODOT-prequalified design team in roadway design, geotechnical engineering, environmental services, and surveying. Statements of Qualifications must address the firm's history; owners' and key technical personnel's education and experience; staff technical expertise and availability; engineering study and design experience; equipment and facilities; references; and prior work for the Butler County Engineer's Office. The submission may not exceed 10 pages, excluding resumes, and a project approach is not required. The preliminary project budgets are $1,705,488 for the bridge project and $4,134,410 for the roadway project. The most qualified firm will be selected for contract negotiations under Ohio Revised Code Sections 153.65-153.73.
