Description
The City of Avondale Parks, Recreation, and Libraries Department is seeking instructor applications and proposals for recreational classes, programs, and workshops. Applicants submit an application and a separate program proposal for each proposed offering, including its description, target participants, schedule, fees, and facility or equipment needs. Applications are accepted year-round; the department reviews proposals and may interview applicants whose programs appear to meet community needs. Submission does not guarantee selection or an interview. The application requests applicant information, availability, two professional references, work experience, and conditional supporting records such as a signed W-9, CPR/First Aid certification, and a Food Handler's Card. Short-listed applicants must later attend an orientation, provide insurance evidence, complete background checks, and execute the instructor agreement before offering programs. The agreement describes instructor services, payment based on program revenue, insurance, safety, and operational requirements; these post-selection requirements are not all due with the initial application.
