Description
Maricopa County Department of Transportation seeks qualified consultants for on-call traffic data collection and engineering services supporting its Transportation Systems Management and Operations Division. Assignments may involve data collection, analysis using county-provided data, or complete engineering studies, including traffic signal warrants, safety, pedestrian crossings, intersection operations, school areas, and corridors. Data collection may include turning movements, FHWA Standard 13 vehicle classification, average daily traffic and low-volume roadway counts, pedestrian and bicycle counts, roadway data for safety analysis, and nonintrusive speed studies. Engineering study reports must document methods, analyses, findings, countermeasures, estimated costs, and recommendations; reports must be signed and sealed by the responsible Arizona-registered professional engineer. Traffic count deliverables are required in Excel and PDF formats. The response is a questionnaire limited to five pages in 12-point font; brochures, pictures, and resumes are not needed.
