Description
Imperial County Department of Public Works is seeking qualified vendors to provide as-needed dust abatement services on unpaved roads. The work includes pre-wetting, watering, and applying a minimum 38% concentration calcium chloride solution at concentrated strength using a distributor truck with a spreader bar. Initial applications are generally 0.50 gallons per square yard, and maintenance applications are generally 0.24 gallons per square yard. Vendors must provide chemicals, application equipment, traffic control, signage, dust-control measures, daily completion photographs, and other activities needed for safe roadway operations. Work must comply with Imperial County Air Pollution Control District Rule 805. The resulting arrangement is not a retainer; payment will be made only for assigned and completed work, with monthly invoices. California contractor licensing and an Imperial County business license are required, and the selected bidder must provide a California DMV Motor Carrier Certificate/Permit, certificate of insurance, and business license before contract or purchase-order finalization.
