Description
Lassen Fire Safe Council, Inc. is requesting proposals from qualified mastication operators to perform mechanical mastication treatments that reduce hazardous wildfire fuels. The work covers approximately 1,741 acres of private timberlands associated with the Shingletown Phase 2 shaded fuelbreak, community treatments, and Lyonsville project mastication scopes. The project area includes the Shingletown and Paynes Creek areas, including private timberlands between Plum Creek Road and Highway 36 and areas in Shingletown and Viola. A self-guided project tour is scheduled for October 6–8, 2026. Proposals are due October 14, 2026, at 5:00 PM and may be submitted in person, by mail, or by email.
