Sealed proposals for ENG 25-04C STREET TREE PURCHASE & PLANTING - REBID#2 will be received by the City of Jackson Purchasing Coordinator, Kari Kerstetter, via the City of Jackson e-Procurement Portal, https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/cityofjackson. The work includes the following partial listing of items with approximate quantities: The City of Jackson is inviting qualified organizations/firms to submit proposals for the Fall purchase and planting of specified tree species within the city. Bidders may obtain Instructions to Bidders, Proposal Forms, Specifications and Contract Forms on the City of Jackson e-Procurement Portal, https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/cityofjackson. Description
The City of Jackson is seeking a contractor to furnish, deliver, plant, maintain, and guarantee approximately 200 street trees across a minimum of 15 species for the Spring 2027 planting season. Bidders must provide availability and unit pricing for specified species in both 1 1/2-inch and 2 1/2-inch caliper sizes, may propose additional species, and must price site preparation and first-season watering and cultivating as lump-sum items. The work includes planting, mulching, staking or guying when required, maintenance through one growing season, replacement of unacceptable trees, restoration, and punch-list completion. The contract may be renewed by mutual agreement for up to two additional planting-season terms, Fall 2027 and Spring 2028, with a cost-of-living adjustment of up to 3% for each renewal. The contractor must comply with USDA funding requirements, including Davis-Bacon prevailing wages and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise good-faith-effort requirements. The solicitation requires at least three references from governmental agencies and/or private firms. Addendum 1 revised the specifications, added lump-sum pricing items and additional-species pricing, and removed the replacement-tree establishment period from the project scope.
