Description
The City of Madera is soliciting proposals for comprehensive tree management and maintenance services covering approximately 9,250 trees across public rights-of-way, parks, landscape maintenance districts, open spaces, City facilities, and other City-maintained properties. The scope includes grid and annual pruning, clearance and palm trimming, designated tree and stump removal, tree planting with staking and root barriers, emergency response, GPS-based tree inventory and GIS-compatible data, and certified arborist evaluations and reports. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, traffic control, cleanup, hauling, and disposal required for the work. The work is a California public works project subject to prevailing-wage and labor-compliance requirements. Proposers must hold current California CSLB C-27 and C-61/D-49 licenses and comply with applicable arboricultural, safety, traffic-control, and public-notice standards. The proposal must include technical narratives, qualifications and key personnel information, at least three similar references, a completed cost proposal, contract exceptions or affirmation of no exceptions, business-license and insurance-certification forms, and a current certificate of insurance. The resulting agreement is expected to have a two-year base term with up to three additional one-year extensions by mutual consent.
