The Forest Service is soliciting one firm-fixed-price contract with economic price adjustment for integrated forest restoration and timber-removal work across approximately 145,000 acres of the Bitterroot National Forest's Stevensville and Darby-Sula Ranger Districts. Mandatory work includes cutting and removing included timber from five subdivisions, road reconstruction, road maintenance, timber hauling, slash disposal, erosion control, and related construction activities. Optional work includes boundary layout and GPS measurement, timber cruising and volume determination, ground-based, skyline/tethered, and helicopter timber removal, additional subdivisions, optional road reconstruction, and suppression-repair rehabilitation. The contractor must submit pricing for all schedule items, a technical proposal, a quality control plan, relevant past-performance information, local-community benefit information, required certifications, and a 20% bid guarantee based on the proposed price for mandatory road reconstruction. The contract period of performance is stated as June 15, 2027, through October 15, 2037, with optional line items exercisable during the first seven years. The mandatory road-reconstruction work has an estimated price magnitude of $350,000 to $550,000; total contract value is not stated.
