Description
The City of Riverside is soliciting separate bid categories for Phase A of its Riverside Police Department Headquarters replacement project: BC01, Earthwork and Shoring, and BC02, Demolition. The work includes demolition of the existing headquarters and associated site improvements; removal or abandonment of utilities and subsurface structures; site clearing; excavation, over-excavation, engineered fill, compaction, rough grading, basement pad preparation, erosion control, and preparation of certified subgrade elevations. The Earthwork and Shoring category includes temporary and permanent shoring, excavation support, layback and benching, utility protection, dewatering, traffic control, SWPPP measures, and coordination with the demolition contractor. The Demolition category includes building and basement demolition, elevator and tunnel demolition, hazardous-material-related work identified in the package, salvage of designated monuments, plaques, a time capsule, rain-cross light poles, and an emergency generator, and legal disposal of demolition debris. The package identifies asbestos and lead-containing materials at the existing facility and requires compliance with applicable environmental, safety, licensing, bonding, and prevailing-wage requirements.
