Description
The United Nations Development Programme is seeking a qualified contractor to construct approximately 280 meters of concrete township road in Shikh Misri Township. The scope includes subgrade preparation, excavation and compaction, granular base course, plain cement concrete pavement, joint sealing, precast concrete slabs, side drainage, a 10-meter culvert, stone drainage works, curbs or sidewalk elements where specified, permanent and safety signboards, and site restoration and waste management. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, quality control, testing, occupational health and safety measures, environmental and social safeguards, and community engagement. Required qualifications include at least two similar completed road projects within the past five years, at least one similar project valued at $80,000 or more, and average annual turnover of at least $80,000 in three of the past five years. The contractor must also provide qualified civil engineering personnel, required machinery or evidence of access to it, a five-month implementation plan, signed returnable forms, technical and financial offers, and a 10% performance security upon contract signature.
