Description
Hayward Unified School District seeks a provider to deliver counseling-enriched special day class programming for students with significant emotional and behavioral challenges. The scope covers five classes across elementary, middle, and high school levels, with services scheduled from August 2027 through June 2030. The program includes licensed mental health counselors, individual, group, and family therapy, assessments, case management, crisis and safety planning, support for Individualized Education Program processes, parent/caregiver engagement, and coordination with school staff. Services also include summer programming, student progress and service reporting, and support for Medi-Cal reimbursement and exploration of other reimbursement avenues. Proposers must describe their organization, credentials, relevant school-district experience, project team, references, financial stability, and fee structure. The District requests at least five educational client references and evaluates technical approach, management, qualifications and experience, and cost. The selected provider must meet the stated insurance requirements, including liability coverage, and comply with applicable student background-check requirements. The solicitation states an initial term of January 1, 2027 through June 30, 2027, with up to four additional one-year renewal terms; this conflicts with the service-period description of August 2027 through June 2030.
