Description
The County of Fresno is seeking qualified contractors to provide snow removal services for one or more of nine service areas in the Shaver Lake community. Areas include internal roads in County Service Area 35 zones O, V, AG, AK, AS, AT, CD, and CI, plus Bretz Road from Highway 168 to Garnet, covering specified road segments ranging from 0.174 to 6.50 miles. Contractors must provide 24-hour, seven-day-a-week equipment and manpower availability during the November-through-April snow-removal period; keep roadways open and limit snow accumulation; remove packed snow and ice; maintain drains and fire hydrants; apply sand; respond to service complaints; and perform pre-season inspections, snow-pole placement, permitting, and post-season sweeping and repairs. Bidders must submit area-based average-season and out-of-season hourly prices, equipment and manpower information, at least five similar-service references, compliance information, and the completed quotation package. The anticipated contract term is three years, with two potential one-year renewals.
