Description
The Cape Girardeau Police Department is accepting sealed bids from qualified heavy-duty towing companies to provide commercial vehicle towing, recovery, transport, storage, and related services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays. The scope may include towing and recovery of tractor-trailers, buses, box trucks, dump trucks, refuse vehicles, large commercial trucks, trailers, and other heavy vehicles; accident and rollover recovery; disabled-vehicle removal; evidence or impound transport; load-shift or cargo-recovery support; and secure storage of commercial vehicles and trailers. Bidders must demonstrate adequate heavy-duty towing and recovery equipment, trained and licensed personnel, sufficient vehicle and recovery capacity, required insurance coverage, and storage facilities capable of accommodating commercial vehicles. Responses must address company information, towing and transport capabilities, available heavy wreckers, rotators, tractors, trailers, support vehicles and other equipment with rated capacities, operator qualifications and availability, insurance, licenses, permits and certifications, a fee schedule, storage-facility capabilities, response times, and applicable government, law-enforcement, municipal, or commercial heavy-towing references.
