Description
The USDA Forest Service is soliciting Region 5 FERM BPA holders for Phase 1 repairs to approximately 2.60 miles of McKinley Grove Road in the Sierra National Forest. The work includes mobilization; disposal of asphalt grindings; furnishing and placing Class 2 aggregate base; full-depth reclamation by pulverizing approximately 2 inches of asphalt; placing approximately 3,982 tons of Caltrans Type A hot-mix asphalt; fog sealing; crack sealing and filling; permanent white and double-yellow pavement markings; and temporary traffic control. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, inspection, quality control, and supplies; maintain required fire-prevention and suppression equipment; provide a temporary traffic control plan, quality-control-related submittals, asphalt and aggregate submittals, and as-built drawings; and hold or subcontract to a contractor holding an appropriate current California state license. Offers are evaluated on technical capability, relevant past performance, and price. The solicitation is restricted to Region 5 FERM BPA holders and is set aside for small businesses.
