Description
Pinal County is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide 24-hour decedent transportation services, seven days a week, 365 days a year, for the Pinal County Medical Examiner's Office. The contractor must remove decedents from locations throughout Pinal County and its contracted jurisdictions—including residences, roadways, hospitals, nursing homes, funeral homes, and remote areas—and transport them to the Medical Examiner's Office at 920 N. Bowling Road, Florence, Arizona, while maintaining dignity, chain of custody, evidence integrity, and required identification and sealing procedures. The contractor must provide all labor, vehicles, equipment, supplies, personal protective equipment, dispatch capability, and trained personnel; maintain at least three operational transport vehicles; support up to three simultaneous responses; and meet a 90-minute response requirement for listed service areas. The initial contract term is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027, with four additional one-year renewal options. The estimated budget is $75,000 to $125,000. Proposals must address experience, operational capacity, personnel qualifications and training, equipment, references, procedures, pricing, and required confidentiality and compliance obligations. Responses must be submitted electronically through the Bonfire Purchasing System as one PDF, with a maximum of 75 pages for the response materials; required exhibits and signed attachments are excluded from that limit.
