Description
The City of Casa Grande is seeking a qualified Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for its planned Aquatics Complex at the City's Community Recreation Center. The facility is expected to include heated recreational and competitive swimming pools, with potential water slides, ramadas, picnic patio, a zero-depth-entry family pool, lazy river, and spray playground. The selected CMAR will provide preconstruction services including design review, constructability and value-engineering recommendations, cost estimates, project scheduling, long-lead-item planning, subcontractor procurement planning, and Guaranteed Maximum Price proposals. If the City proceeds with construction, the CMAR will serve as general contractor and manage construction, subcontractors and suppliers, quality assurance and quality-control testing, permitting, procurement, scheduling, site safety, and project closeout. The SOQ is limited to eight single-sided pages, excluding required Appendix A forms; one original and seven copies are required. The solicitation requires relevant project experience, owner references, project-team information, project approach, and a subcontractor selection plan.
