Description
Collin County is soliciting a qualified funeral home or mortuary service provider to provide fixed-price morgue transport services. The contractor must provide 24/7/365 availability, respond to death scenes within 75 minutes of notification, arrive with two employees, and transport decedents from locations throughout Collin County and occasional locations outside the county to the Collin County Medical Examiner's Office at 2310 Bloomdale Road, McKinney, Texas. Services may involve homes, nursing homes, hospitals, and other institutions, including challenging circumstances and decedents weighing 350 pounds or more. The contractor must maintain at least two suitable vehicles, equipment, trained and licensed personnel, background-check compliance, and required insurance. Pricing is requested per body and must be all-inclusive, with estimated annual usage of 800 decedents and an estimated annual contract value of $130,000. The initial one-year term includes three additional one-year renewal options. Bidders must demonstrate at least two years of similar experience and provide at least two customer references covering similar services during the past 24 months. Responses are submitted through the county's electronic procurement portal or by sealed hard copy; email submissions are not accepted.
