Description
The City of Norwich is soliciting bids from qualified and properly licensed plumbing contractors to provide on-call, task-order commercial plumbing services at City-owned, City-operated, and other facilities under City jurisdiction. The scope includes plumbing fixture repair, replacement, and installation; water heaters, pumps, valves, piping, drains, waste and vent systems; leak detection; winterization; preventive maintenance; and related work. The contractor must also provide drain and sewer cleaning, hydro-jetting, sewer camera inspections with video documentation, root removal, catch-basin work, and damaged piping repair or replacement. Twenty-four-hour, seven-day emergency response is required, with call acknowledgment within 30 minutes and qualified personnel response within two hours unless otherwise approved. Bidders must submit labor, material markup, equipment, mobilization, and service-call rates; demonstrate at least five years of relevant experience; provide three comparable references from the past five years; maintain required licenses, insurance, and qualifications; and submit the specified bid forms, certifications, references, licenses, insurance evidence, subcontractor information, and non-collusion affidavits. The contract is expected to run for two years with up to two additional one-year renewals, with no guaranteed minimum quantity or expenditure and the possibility of multiple awards.
