Description
Baltimore County’s Department of Health seeks providers for non-emergency, mode-appropriate transportation of eligible Medical Assistance recipients to and from medically necessary covered services. Services include wheelchair van transportation and ambulance transportation at the appropriate level of care, including basic and advanced life support, specialty care, and neonatal transport. Service must be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, year-round, and include scheduled rides, hospital discharges and transfers, and required door-to-door or door-through-door assistance. The contractor must directly provide at least 51% of transports; subcontracting is permitted for the remainder subject to the County’s requirements and prior notification. The solicitation sets a 25% MBE/WBE participation goal. The estimated contract value is $19.7 million for the full term, including renewals; the term is one year with up to four additional one-year renewal options.
