Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a contractor to provide non-emergency medical transportation for veterans, including ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients, between residences, medical facilities, and appointments. The contractor must furnish vehicles, drivers, attendants as needed, equipment, and round-trip transportation, including wheelchair-accessible service. The scope includes scheduled and same-day trips, mileage and authorized wait-time charges, and service across the medical center’s surrounding clinics and other requested locations. The contractor must meet Ohio licensing and transportation requirements, maintain qualified personnel and vehicles, provide 24/7 availability, and comply with patient safety, privacy, communications, and service-quality requirements. The solicitation requests a price-cost schedule, technical plans, proof of insurance and licensing, compliance statements, and past-performance information. The contract is an indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed-price arrangement with a base period and two ordering periods; the stated maximum total value is $30,000,000.
