Description
The City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation is soliciting proposals for comprehensive management and operation of South Region Commuter Express lines, Community DASH fixed-route services, Cityride Dial-a-Ride paratransit services for Areas 2 and 3, two Cityride connector routes, and LA now South Los Angeles Zone 2 microtransit. The scope includes vehicle operations, dispatching, reservations, scheduling, fare collection, customer service, ADA-compliant transportation, reporting, safety, staffing, and coordination with overflow paratransit providers. The contractor must maintain and operate a City-provided fleet of approximately 126 vehicles, including CNG, gasoline, and electric buses and vans; provide preventive maintenance, repairs, fueling or charging, facility operations, security, janitorial services, technology support, and extensive MIS and FTA National Transit Database reporting. The contract is structured as a five-year base term with two one-year options, and proposals must include operational, staffing, maintenance, transition, safety, security, technology, and cost plans.
