Description
The City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to manage and operate the City's South Region Commuter Express, Community DASH Transit Services, Cityride Dial-a-Ride Paratransit Services, and LAnow Microtransit Services. The scope includes fixed-route and demand-response transportation operations, reservations, scheduling, dispatching, fare collection, customer service, ADA-compliant service, staffing, safety, reporting, and coordination with subcontractors and overflow providers. The contractor will operate and maintain a City-provided fleet and perform vehicle maintenance, fueling or charging, facility operations, security, janitorial services, technology support, and required federal and transit reporting. The contractor must provide a Cityride reservation, scheduling, and dispatching system and comply with applicable labor, retention, federal transit, and performance requirements. Addendum 3 clarifies that fleet inspections will occur at specified Los Angeles facilities and that standalone fleet-maintenance proposals are not permitted; fleet maintenance firms must participate as subcontractors to a prime transit operator. The contract has a five-year base term with two one-year extension options.
