Description
The Delaware Department of Transportation is soliciting professional services for statewide subsurface investigations under an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity agreement. Work includes drilling through unconsolidated sediment and rock, rock coring, standard penetration testing, disturbed and undisturbed sampling using Shelby tubes, visual examination and documentation of samples, and sample reporting. Additional services may include geo-probe work, observation wells, double-ring or borehole infiltration testing, piezometer testing, soil index testing, triaxial testing, direct shear testing, unconfined compressive strength testing of intact rock core, and pH resistivity testing. The selected firms will be responsible for field work in varied terrain, including riverbeds, canals, marshes, clay, sandy areas, bedrock, and weathered rock; required maintenance of traffic; utility coordination; applicable drilling permits; and ensuring drilling personnel hold Delaware Well Driller's Licenses. Equipment may include barge-mounted equipment, all-terrain vehicles, rock-drilling equipment, and standard penetration testing equipment. Up to two agreements may be awarded, with individual agreement values not exceeding $3,000,000; there is no guarantee of actual agreement value. Proposals must include pricing, sample boring logs, GSA SF330 architect-engineer qualifications, required certifications, and the specified proposal copies.
