Description
The Delaware Department of Transportation is soliciting multiple vendors to provide rental equipment with operators for emergency snow and ice removal on designated sidewalks, shared-use paths, crosswalks, curb ramps, and other pedestrian facilities throughout Delaware. Services are activated by authorized Department personnel after a minimum three-inch accumulation or as otherwise directed, and include mobilization, snow and ice removal, hauling when necessary, application of approved de-icing material, traffic-control support, and documentation of daily work. Bidders must provide the required equipment, labor, fuel, tools, maintenance, and de-icing materials; maintain crews capable of rapid emergency mobilization; comply with applicable safety requirements; and repair property damage caused during operations. No subcontractors are permitted. The contract is intended to support multiple awards, has no guaranteed minimum quantities or value, and remains valid for five years from contract execution. Required bid materials include the completed and signed contract, a completed and notarized certification, a vendor equipment list, and a daily work log example.
