Description
Sarasota County Transit seeks a contractor to perform pre-award Buy America audits, in-plant bus line inspections, post-delivery Buy America audits, resident engineering, functional-test observation, configuration audits, road tests, discrepancy tracking, and quality-assurance reporting for 11 24-foot low-floor Chevrolet Arboc Spirit of Freedom cutaway paratransit vehicles. The work must support compliance with applicable Federal Transit Administration requirements, including 49 CFR Parts 661 and 663, and verify conformity with the County’s technical specifications. The contractor must monitor manufacturing and installation activities at the manufacturer’s site, inspect vehicle components and systems, observe ramp and air-conditioning testing, maintain records and progress reports, identify and track deficiencies through correction or County acceptance, and provide pre-award, post-delivery, vehicle-specific, and overall project reports. Award will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest total bid price; total purchases may not exceed $50,000.
