Description

The Forest Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contractor to treat fire-impacted and beetle-mortality stands in the Tamarack Ridge and Coyote Sno-Park areas of the High Sierra Ranger District. Work includes felling standing dead trees and selected live trees, thinning surviving conifers, treating slash and brush through piling, mastication, or other approved methods, constructing fire lines, and preparing treated areas for future tree planting. The contractor must provide all equipment, personnel, transportation, tools, supplies, GPS-capable devices, and qualified operators. Work must protect residual vegetation, roads, streams, meadows, sensitive plant areas, cultural resources, and Yosemite toad habitat. A biological monitor is an optional line item for specified units. The base work covers approximately 359.5 acres across Units 7, 32, 36, and 102, with optional work covering approximately 1,010 acres and up to 65 days of biological monitoring. The contract has a one-year period of performance from October 16, 2026, through October 16, 2027. Offers must include a title page, technical volume, completed key-personnel designation form, completed experience questionnaire, representations and certifications, price volume, completed Schedule of Items, and basis of estimate. The technical volume must address the work approach, equipment, personnel, logistics, subcontractors, local labor opportunities, assumptions, and schedule.
