Description
This solicitation requests expressions of interest from qualified construction contractors for the phased removal and replacement of existing windows and security screens at the Lehman College Music Building and Old Gym Building. The scope also includes minor interior gypsum-plaster repair, exterior stone-spall repair, replacement of steel tubes and selected stone units, replacement of metal bars and straps, and asbestos and hazardous-material abatement. The estimated construction cost is $8,000,000 to $8,500,000. The EOI package will be used to evaluate and shortlist qualified firms for a future bid. Respondents must demonstrate at least five years of experience with comparable projects and provide five relevant projects completed or substantially completed within the last ten years, sample schedules, a written safety program, proposed-team resumes, potential subcontractor information, anticipated workload, an experience-modification-rating letter, bonding-capacity documentation, and a certified New York State Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire for For-Profit Construction (CCA-2). The project is subject to a Project Labor Agreement, and the anticipated participation goals are 45% minority and women workforce, 18% Minority Business Enterprise, 12% Women's Business Enterprise, and 6% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business; the owner will establish final goals in the future bid documents.
