Description
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, through the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, is seeking multiple providers for outcome-based Brain Injury Support Services. The program serves eligible consumers with significant brain injuries through assessment, cognitive rehabilitation, therapy and counseling, case management, career exploration, competitive employment placement, job stabilization, and successful 90-day placement. Providers must also furnish extended follow-along support after case closure at their own expense. Required qualifications include at least three years of comparable experience, current accreditation by CARF, COA, or CQL, and appropriately qualified staff. Cognitive rehabilitation staff must have a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling or a related discipline and possess, or obtain, the Certified Brain Injury Specialist credential. The initial contract term begins March 1, 2027, or the date of final execution, whichever is later, and runs through October 31, 2027, with up to two optional one-year renewals. The solicitation identifies $1,574,000 in federal funds and $426,000 from nongovernmental sources as available program funding; vendor-specific pricing will be negotiated through the best-and-final-offer process.
