Description
The Ocean County Department of Human Services is seeking proposals from eligible organizations to provide Older Worker Upskill services for Ocean County residents age 55 and older who are retired or laid off and need sustainable employment. The 10-month program is expected to serve at least 35 residents at no out-of-pocket cost to participants, with services delivered on a fee-for-service basis. Activities may include soft- and hard-skills training, on-the-job training and work experience, resume assistance, mock interviews, interview skills, technology assistance, socialization, and credentials or certifications. The provider must conduct participant intake and eligibility assessments, develop individualized service plans with timelines and measurable outcomes, provide referrals and supportive-program linkages, track service levels and performance data, maintain participant and financial records, participate in workforce-development collaborative meetings, and implement quality-assurance measures. A local office and service delivery within the Local Workforce Development Area are required, although virtual services may be used as needed. The anticipated funding is $100,000, subject to fund availability, with a base term from December 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, and up to two additional 12-month periods.
