Description
The METRO Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is soliciting bids for HVAC Preventative Maintenance services. This procurement aims to contract with a qualified firm to provide a continuous, comprehensive HVAC maintenance service program for all RTA facilities. The scope of work includes preventative maintenance, on-demand repairs, troubleshooting, replacements, and adjustments for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment, including energy management and temperature control systems. Emergency response services are also required, with technicians expected on-site within 1-4 hours for urgent issues. The contract duration is three years, commencing upon signing. The contract covers multiple RTA-owned or operated facilities. Key locations include the Main Campus at 416 Kenmore Blvd, Akron, OH; Rolling Acres Transit Center at 2340 Romig Road, Akron, OH; Independence Transit Center at 1280 Independence Ave, Akron, OH; Robert K. Pfaff Transit Center at 631 S. Broadway, Akron, OH; and the Maintenance and Operations Facilities at 348 Kenmore Blvd, Akron, OH (new construction opening June 2026). Bidders are required to submit bids through METRO's OpenGov portal by July 30, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
