Description
This solicitation is for the replacement of existing gas-fired boilers, breeching, and hot water piping at the Hay Barn Planting Fields Arboretum. The scope of work includes removing the old equipment, installing two new condensing boilers with stainless steel breeching and chimney liners, and providing three electric domestic water heaters and two under-sink instant hot water heaters. The project also involves updating the boiler room make-up air damper and actuator, tying into the existing hot water distribution system, performing all necessary cleaning, testing, balancing, and commissioning of the new equipment, and replacing the existing Johnson Control H.W. system controller. Alternate 1 includes the removal and replacement of nine hot water pumps (three primary and six secondary). The estimated range for the base contract is $581,177.00 to $786,298.00, and the estimated range for Alternate 1 is $52,030.00 to $70,393.00. The project completion is 365 days after approval by the NYS Comptroller's Office. Bidders must comply with Public Building Law § 8(6) regarding Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) participation goals (MBE 10%, WBE 20%) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) goals (6%).
