Description
The City of Cleveland is seeking proposals from qualified operators to manage the New Eastside Market, a city-owned retail facility located at East 105th Street and St. Clair Avenue in the Glenville neighborhood. The 19,620-square-foot building includes food retail space, commercial and demonstration kitchens, clinic space, and office space. The selected operator(s) will be responsible for carrying out a threefold vision: providing public access to fresh and nutritious food through full-service grocery operations; supporting economic empowerment via a shared-use commercial kitchen that serves as an incubator for local food entrepreneurs; and offering wellness services and education through a wellness space and demonstration kitchen. The City encourages creative proposals from organizations, cooperatives, and partnerships. The contract term is two years with a five-year renewal option.
