Description
The General Services Administration (GSA) intends to award a Design-Build contract to upgrade the fire alarm system at the Carl B. Stokes U.S. Courthouse, located at 801 W. Superior Avenue, Cleveland, OH. The existing fire alarm system, installed in 2001, has reached the end of its service life. This project involves replacing the main fire alarm control panel and repairing or replacing other components throughout the building. Additionally, some smoke detectors will be relocated to maintain proper separation distances from HVAC equipment, and pressurization issues in stairwells and the library atrium that could impede egress will be addressed. The design will comply with GSA Public Buildings Service Core Buildings Standards. The estimated cost for this project ranges between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. A stipend of $22,390.00 will be provided to a maximum of two unsuccessful short-listed offerors in Phase 2 who meet the proposal requirements. This is a negotiated, best-value procurement. The contractor will be responsible for all management, supervision, labor, equipment, and supplies necessary for the project. The solicitation is being offered under full and open competition.
