Description
St. Charles County Government is soliciting bids for per-building maintenance and service of elevators, dumbwaiters, wheelchair lifts, and platform lifts at county facilities. The scope includes preventive maintenance, lubrication, adjustments, repairs, replacement of covered parts, signal-lamp replacement, annual and five-year inspections, load-test weights, service reports, and 24-hour, seven-day emergency response. Contractors must provide labor, tools, equipment, software, lubricants, and other materials required for the work, along with an electronic customer portal for service and equipment-status information. Bidders must demonstrate access to manufacturer-specific training, proprietary diagnostic equipment, technical expertise, and certifications for the listed equipment brands and controller types. The bid requires pricing by building for a 12-month base term with four additional 12-month renewal options, references for at least three customers with comparable multi-elevator, multi-site service agreements, staffing and service-hour information, and documentation of any additional covered parts or services. The agreement requires self-performance unless the County provides prior written permission for subcontracting, and a 100% performance and payment bond if the projected work value is $50,000 or more.
