Description
The contractor shall provide a turnkey repair of the fire protection deluge and pre-action systems serving Hangar 6 at Grissom Air Reserve Base. Work includes demolishing clogged air lines and obsolete air maintenance devices; furnishing and installing a fire-protection-rated air compressor, new air maintenance devices, corrosion-resistant air lines, fittings, and check valves for four pre-action systems; and performing pneumatic pressure and functional testing. The contractor must also replace the linear heat detection wire in Zones 1 and 2, furnish and install two Protectowire CTM 250 interface modules, integrate and program them with the existing fire alarm control panel, and complete loop, insulation, and functional testing. The work includes engineering/design services, electrical connections by a certified electrical subcontractor or approved equivalent, high-elevation access equipment including two 60-foot aerial boom lifts, base access and security compliance, system impairment coordination, and final commissioning. The contract is firm-fixed-price with a stated performance period from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027; no award will be made until funds are available.
